As part of this month’s Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign, the Santa Ana Police Dept. will engage in a “zero tolerance” campaign focusing on driver’s that are texting or operating hand-held cell phones during the month of April, according to Santa Ana Councilman Sal Tinajero’s blog.
Drivers who break the law and place themselves and others in danger will be cited. The current minimum ticket cost is $159, with subsequent tickets costing at least $279. Continue reading
