Join in Opposing Proposed FY 2012 Cuts to NIOSH Ag, Forestry and Fishing Programs and ERCs
Last year, ASSE members helped voice opposition to the Obama Administration’s proposed FY 2012 budget cuts of two significant NIOSH activities that support occupational safety and health and the work of ASSE’s members – the NORAAgriculture, Forestry and Fishing (AgFF) Program and Education and Resource Centers (ERCs). February 14th is the Deadline to Submit Entries for the 10th Annual ASSE “Safety-On-The-Job” Poster Contest for kids aged 5-14.
ASSE members reach out to their communities through the annual ASSE kids’ poster contest about the importance of being safe on the job and we hope you can join the fun this year.
The winning poster from each of the five age groups is featured on the annual North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week poster distributed worldwide. The five grand prize winners and 15 runners-up each receive prizes and are recognized at the NAOSH kick-off events in Washington, D.C., in May. The posters that best illustrate ‘safety-on-the-job’ will win the contest. Continue reading
The Region One Operating Committee, of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), has approved the new Student Section that will be located at the Cal State University campus in Fullerton.
The ASSE Student Section is designed for students who are pursuing a career in the safety, health and environmental (SH&E) fields.
