You are invited to a FREE asbestos awareness class, on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from 11 am to 1:30 pm. A free catered lunch will be provided. The class will be hosted by Environmental Remediation Contractors (ERC), located at 1899 S. Santa Cruz St., Suite 100, Anaheim, CA 92805, near the Angel Stadium.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Asbestos Awareness
This class provides:
- A basic understanding of asbestos, Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) in buildings and the hazards associated with it.
- “Why should I be concerned about asbestos?”
- An Introduction to the EPA’s requirements and other regulatory agencies that regulate work with asbestos.
- Regulations & Enforcement
- Common renovation activities and demolition can create hazardous situations by disturbing asbestos, which can be harmful to adults and children.
- Materials that may contain asbestos
- Origins and common uses of asbestos
- A basic understanding of the health effects related to Asbestos exposure as well as an overview of the regulations.
- Potentially affected entities
- Please bring a pen/pencil and paper to take notes. No examination is required to complete this course. Certificates of Attendance will be given at the end of the class.
