Don’t miss the Feb. 14 deadline for the 9th Annual Safety-on-the-Job kids’ poster contest. Four winners from each of five age categories will be selected. Each first-place winner will receive a $5,000 savings bond; second-place winners each receive a $500 savings bond; third- and fourth-place winners each receive a $200 savings bond. Winning entries will be honored at NAOSH Week events in Washington, DC, and have their winning posters distributed worldwide. The contest is open to all children sponsored by an ASSE member or chapter.

It’s that time of year again! Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the 2011 ASSE Kids’ ‘Safety-on-the-Job’ poster contest during ASSE’s 100th Anniversary! Help ASSE celebrate 100 years of protecting people, property and the environment by participating in the poster contest. The contest runs from September 19, 2010, through Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2011. All entries must be postmarked by February 14. Winners will be announced Monday, February 21, 2011, on the www.asse.org/naosh11 web site.
The contest is open to all children aged 5-14. All participants must be sponsored by an ASSE member. Members can sponsor children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as schools and children from their communities, their workplaces, etc. Posters that best illustrate Safety-on-the Job will be selected as winners out of each of the five age groups.
Prizes include savings bonds and the top winning posters will be featured on the North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week, May 1-7, 2011, poster. Winners and all entrants will be honored at the NAOSH kick-off events May 2, 2011, at the U.S. Capitol, the U.S. Department of Labor and the National Gallery of Art.
